Actually, I know somebody who had a mouse nest in the engine of their car; they were paranoid that mice would come through the vents into the car itself.

I'm sure it would have been a scene out of a Indiana Jones movie if their car ever was stranded in a rising river. Untold numbers of rodents pouring through the vents as they struggle to escape in time...

I first found mice in my apartment in the city, actually; I didn't know you could even get mice on the 3rd floor of a building. I used the glue traps, and one time I found one that had chewed itself in half trying to get free. It was pretty gross.

Yeah, as much as I grew to hate the little things, I just won't use glue traps for that reason. In fact, I used to sabotage the glue traps that the building manager would put around our offices at work.

Living in the country, I'm not surprised to have mice in my garage; I do live next to a field, after all. As long as they're only in the garage, I can live with it (though I do put out poison and use a sonic device to keep them away from the door).

Yeah, our condo was surrounded by fields on three sides. It wasn't until major development of those fields started that we found mice were coming into our basement.

I was reluctant to use poison at first, because we had a dog and I wasn't 100% sure I could do it safely. However, it eventually was obvious that I could trap them for years without making a dent in the population, so we had to give it a try. Worked out all right... mice disappeared, and the dog is still with me.

I think Xander is still incommunicado, but obviously Ian would know more about that.

Yeah, I figured he'd come back around and give an answer, even if he didn't feel like some mouse talk.
