Quote: Ah... so it was Miiri's doing after all. Well, you can't blame her instincts, but I'm not sure how she'll react if she finds out what Vespiir has been party to in all this. For all of her soft curves, she does have quite a bit of steel inside. Just... not like Tandi.Well, Tandi's mostly plastic, and that's with the upgrade from a 6000 to a 9000 series processor sometime after her first appearances. I agree that Miiri's bought out of the whole House protection thing herself but she's always been supportinve of tent-sisters who still want in; and outcast Vespiir needed to belong to someone more than just about anyone, so Miiri found her a House whose reputation would protect her from pretty much anything on Caph. You may recall Vizh's encounter with the people seeking to raid Miiri. My take on this is that Miiri is quite adept at subverting Caphan customs to suit her needs by now. Quote: Quote: An imperial chattel has a value by association to the Emir, so Koodi's book value has probably risen from say 500 shekli to 25,000 shekli; if she was on the market she'd be bought for the snob value of owning a drudge from the Emir's house.Quote: Well, that would make sense then. It's always nice to see the hometown girl make good. Unless you're the jealous type. It's the equivalent of an old banger of a car selling for a fortune because it used to belong to Mick Jagger. Quote: The world is safe.Quote: That *is* a relief... Although I'm beginning to think I may need to try bribing people to reply daily for a stretch again. Maybe just with some qualifiers this time...We really don't need any nude Hagatha Darkness pictures either; at least not unless they date back to her days with the League of Improbable Gentlemen. | |||||||
