Quote: Quote: Anna is going to be very sad if she knew Hallie had to give up Lair Legion membership because of her. The last thing she wanted to do was hurt someone. She didn't want to die for it, either, but hard choices are not something she handles well.Quote: Even if this is how things work out, Hallie would not be giving up on Lair Membership because of Anna. Anna is just another player in a string of events that spun out of control. She certainly didn't ask to be grabbed and tortured, which prompted Yuki and CSFB! to seek some kind of legal protection for her. She didn't even ask to be a US citizen, that was apparently the Judge's unique solution. If Hallie is passing on Legion membership because of anyone, it's because of Senator Maxwell and Congresswoman Marshall and the bill they introduced. And there's still the question of the convenient decision of the judge, taken in good faith with such unusual timing. It's all turned out very well for... the Hooded Hood! Quote: Not that I'd necessarily expect Anna to make that distinction... it's a very human reaction for a victim to blame themselves when they were at the triggering point of events like these. Quote: I suspect Dream would also be upset to think that his press conference and grand plans for truth and justice started a chain that put the Legion in hot water and made her membership a thorny issue on that side of things as well. Of course, I think he'd be much more likely to say "F*** 'em" and tell her to let whomever is spoiling for a fight over her spot on the team step forward. And that's why Hallie won't be saying anything right now. If and when the truth eventually breaks it'll have all the more dramatic impact for the wait. | |||||||
