Subj: I find more and more I really enjoy the All Ages stuff Posted: Tue Apr 13, 2010 at 07:51:59 am EDT (Viewed 326 times) | Reply Subj: How the (recent all-ages version of the) Avengers handled the current LL storyline... Posted: Mon Apr 12, 2010 at 01:00:03 am EDT (Viewed 354 times)
The All Ages comics that are coming out these days remember that comics need to have some fun in them. So often things are grim 'n gritty these days, it's hard to tell the heroes from the villains. The All Ages books boil our superheroes down to their basic, best qualities, and they act like superheroes. I'm actually looking forward to getting the Thor & The Warrior's Four when it comes out in digest form; it's a Thor/Power Pack series, and the cover to (I think) #2 shows one of the Power kids chasing Beta Ray Bill with a saddle in her hand. One of the most hilarious covers I've ever seen. I actually really enjoy Superhero Squad, even though it's aimed at younger kids. They really have some fun with the different character concepts. ~Hat~
