After I posted this I think I've come up with a pretty good/inventive loophole of how to return Lee to the land of the living but I'm not sure I want to use it.

As for "a good Look" at Spango in the HB series: I'm not sure you'll get that. It is mentioned a few times in what I've written. I had started a story years ago that was about Spango but never finished it. But yes, Spango does need a look at sometime.
