Seems the bad guys are always trying to impregnate or marry unwilling superheroes; maybe they need to try speed dating.

That's more De Brown Streak's forte.

But you're right. Narratively speaking protecting the girl from violation is an ancient and very powerful trope. It's almost the most basic duty of the traditional hero to rescue the damsel in distress. It's a cliche for a reason.

The reveal of a Doomwraith x 10000 was ambitious, to say the least. Considering the punch a regular Doomwraith packs, I'd think we're looking at universal armageddon if our heroes can't save the day.

It could be a problem. Still, that's what we have a Lair Legion for.

Was the decision to revive so many dead inspired by Blackest Night over at DC at all?

I've not read any of it yet. On the other hand, the Parodyverse often goes with wider comics zeitgeist so I'm sure there's some link-up somewhere.

And I got to wondering if Maxell was a part of the Imperium or not...Gamma Ray Gary had to prevent a Doomwraith manifestation there during the Parody War.

Maxell was an independent world. Anyhow, it got blown up pretty good by the Parody Master. I'd written it off as completely destroyed until you established it as having survived, for a certain value of "survived".

If we're looking for extinct races there's also the Astrovids.
