Lots of things break easily. Lara believes that breaking something that's achieved balance is what becomes evil. For instance Earth and the Lair Legion aren't perfect, but they're in balance right now. If Thugos upsets that balance by launching an invasion, that's evil, even if he thinks enslaving Earth would improve it.
