The point really for all of Anna's problems is fear of technology. In this case, technology that's much more powerful than the average human. That paired with the fact that Anna's creator did something SPUD can't figure out makes them even more afraid of what she's capable of.



I'm a little unclear after the exchange with HH... is Anna's "electronic kill signal" a conscious or unconscious defense? Can she actually control it, or is it just something that happens when she reaches a certain level of distress? Because it's one thing to trust a fellow soldier who has the power to kill you with his rifle, it's another thing to go into battle with him knowing that in high stress situations he flips out and shoots everyone around him.
