Quote: Quote: I didn't mean only the killing part - I meant specifically taking on that kind of personality and killing so easily, and enjoying it.Quote: Hatty's used a few villain caps before - noticably going one-on-one with Onslaughter - so he's usually prepared for the mental backlash. In Dancer's Far Off story where Jay was amnesiac he hadn't got those defences and interesting things happened.Even so, he's going to feel like he's looping a nightmare where he ripped two people to pieces. Quote: Quote: On a similar topic, I did write a story once where Hatman put on the Psychic Samurai's headband and was a little disturbed at how much power it gave him - through speed and psychic senses - even without super-powers.Quote: Aren't psychic senses a super-power?Exactly. It seems completely useless when you take it in context of how harmless Chiaki Bushido seems when her sword is sheathed, and she speaks in calm, quiet tones. But then, as the saying goes, if someone spends five minutes in her shoes, they get a completely different perspective. Hatman is one of the lucky few to have experienced that perspective. He knows exactly how un-harmless she actually can be, and how it feels to be that way. Quote: Quote: I guess he should keep Chiaki's headband handy in case he ever travels to Japan.Quote: He has bought local hats before now as a means of getting instant translation skills.I always wondered about that trick: Are there grades of functionality for that? If he goes to Japan and buys a cap aimed tourists, would he speak Japanese badly? Since Chiaki's headband holds the collective experience of someone born and raised there, he could speak fluently and confidently, and know all the traditions and customs, perhaps. Of course the one drawback is that it holds the collective experience of a *female* born and raised in Japan, so poor Hatman might phrase things in a way that make people think he's weird. Quote: Quote: Quote: I suspect their [Jay and Zdenka] relationship was already over long before this.Quote: Quote: It depends how much they are each willing to set aside about each other to make it work, I suppose. Which also depends on how much they want to make it work.Quote: It's really down to [poster-Hat too.He tied in the Zdenka storyline a few times, so I assumed he wanted to follow that path. But I'm also suspicious about the Sorceress' return, as in there might be more than just a casual reunion. Quote: Quote: Quote: Noted. At least one of these is correct.Quote: Quote: Darn, that might make my score -3.Quote: Or not.-4 then? | |||||||
