Subj: I don't think you get a refund; although parts of your nephew may be returned. Quote: Carnifex is very intriguing. He has an Ozymandis vibe to him, in the sense that a hero who is too good to be true usually is. Actually I was thinking of the Sentry, Marvel's all-powerful uber-hero who appeared out of nowhere and then suddenly everyone remembered that he's always been there. We were told not shown that he was awesome. Quote: I also agree with the story's premise that our world's destruction won't occur due to someone who is straight-up-evil, but rather a misguided maniac who is charismatic and believes in his own self-righteousness. A great story, Hood. I'll try to catch up with your others before too long.It gets more metatextual than that. Turns out that the Carnifex was the threat that the Parody Master was originally empowered to stop; unfortunately the LL got rid of the Parody Master. Also turns out that the Carnifex is sent by forces akin to the creators of the Parodyverse (whoever those bizarre higher reality beings may be) but with a remit to destory the parodyverse before it could achieve the as-yet-unknown purpose for which it was designed. | |||||||
