A bully is someone who picks on people for no reason. In this case, he was an ass, but he had a reason - Lara kept bringing herself and others to bother him and interrupt his "important work". It's a bit like people heckling you at your office.





Probably. Mostly she behaved like a total pushover until that point, so he was shocked (pun intended) that she turned on him so violently.
