... people actually give a crap. Or when any of these real-life "super heroes" amount to anything more than flabby losers trying to live out a fantasy without confronting their real problems. Most of these folks are out of shape, have personal problems, do this stuff for the attention they lack in their real lives, and sad to say are in desperate need of psychiatric help. Real heroes don't cry out for people to pay attention to them in garish costumes, but calmly enter flaming buildings to rescue kids, or put their lives on hold to serve their country. They do wear uniforms yes, but not the silly ones that make people double over in laughter, but ones that command respect. They don't have secret identities, but nevertheless we don't know their names. And they certainly don't have fancy code-names like Shadowhore or whoever, but they are out there protecting us all the same. | |||||||
