This is the Bio I've written up for my character. -Brian/L! Real Name: Charles "Chuck" Stevens Heroic Title: Hero. Occupation: Services for Seniors employee. Known Relatives: Richard "Dick" (Father), Miranda (Mother). Base of Operations: Apartment 3f, The Majestic apartment complex, Northgate neighborhood, Millennium City (originally); 1634 Walnut Drive, Hampton neighborhood, Millennium City. (currently). History: Born in East Walton, New Jersey to Dick Stevens, a Lawyer and his wife, Miranda, former school teacher turned stay at mother. Most of Chuck's childhood is unremarkable, one thing that he did hear was he seemed to not be living up to expectations. He skated through school & barely graduated high school. He moved to Millennium City to attend Stanhope University but flunked out. Chuck floated from job to job for a few years until settling on a job delivering items for members of Services for Seniors. One of his main stops on his route was The Ridgecrest, a senior living community. Chuck looked forward to this because while there he got to visit Thomas Marlowe. Mr. Marlowe was a World War II veteran & liked to tell stories about his days as Tom Marrow, The Man of Tomorrow. Chuck wasn't sure if the stories were true or not but he learned at a young age that you respect those that had come before you. This went on for a year or two until one day, Mr. Marlowe wasn't there when Chuck made he's normal stop. Thomas Marlowe had died the night before. Chuck was among only the handful of people at the funeral. Chuck said his goodbye & thought that was that. A few days later, on one of Chuck's rare days off a Lawyer came to his door. They were the executor of Mr. Marlowe's estate & asked if Chuck was available to go for a drive. Chuck was & they drove out to a house that was just on the edge of the Hampton neighborhood. Chuck had never been there & it looked like no one had been there either in a few years. The two of them walked up to the front door. Little did Chuck know that he was soon going to be the owner of that house. It belonged to Mr. Marlowe & along with that he left a manila envelope to Chuck. The Lawyer had Chuck sign a few papers & that was that: Chuck now owned the house & all the contents. After the Lawyer left, Chuck opened the envelope. Inside was a small journal & a rings of keys. Chuck tried a few keys in the door, one fit & he entered his new home. He turned on the lights & there before him was proof that Mr. Marlowe's stories weren't just the figments of a elderly man's imagination. There in the foyer was a glass case that held the costume that Chuck recognized as being the one worn by Tom Marrow. Chuck wondered through the rooms, the house was a museum to heroes long since past. Marlowe had collected everything from costumes & equipment to pictures, posters & newspaper clippings of the heroes' adventures. Chuck sat down a couch & opened the journal. It was a guide book to the house & to the collection. It was all a bit to take it, so Chuck left & caught the Bus back to his apartment. As he sat there, he opened the envelope once again to take out the book, he noticed a smaller envelope inside. He pulled that out & opened it. He was a letter from Mr. Marlowe addressed to him. The letter said among other things why he left Chuck the house: he had no one else & he felt that Chuck would know what to do. It wasn't until a few days later did Chuck return to the house. While searching around the house, Chuck heard a woman scream. Chuck ran to a window & outside in broad daylight: there was a mugging going on. Without thinking, Chuck went to go stop it. As he made his way to the door, he was looking for something to scare off the mugger. He found a gun, Chuck open the door & went out on the front porch. He called the mugger out. The mugger stopped looked at Chuck & he fired. From the gun went out a burst of electricity which shocked the mugger. He fell to the ground & began to convulse uncontrollably. The woman got away. Chuck felt good & went back into the house thinking it was all over: it wasn't. Later that day, the mugger & a few of his heavily armed friends returned to met out their revenge on Chuck. They kicked down the door & Chuck thought he'd just use the ray gun again. At that moment, he found that it wouldn't be enough. It works fine for person to person but not on large groups. They had guns that shoot real bullets, Chuck didn't really have anything at the moment. A hailstorm of gun fire soon came, Chuck protected himself with a shield he had found. After a few minutes, they thought their job was done, now needed confirmation. They all split up to search the house. While they searched, Chuck gathered together a few items to help him out: Marlowe's ray gun, a Bo-staff, a utility belt with a whole bunch of stuff in it's pockets & a shield. He wasn't sure if they'd be enough but he want these guy out the house a quick a possible. As he found each one, Chuck's adrenaline start to kick in & he went down faster & faster. The thugs knew that this was fruitless effort & left. Chuck wasn't sure what to do next so he returned to his normal life but what had happened that night stayed on his mind. Over the course of the next few weeks, Chuck had being going out on patrol in his make shift costume around his apartment in the Northgate neighborhood. He didn't see much action the first couple times until he came upon a small group of Blood Devil gang members, they were unloading a local pawn shop & putting it's contents into their van. Chuck went to stop it: that didn't end so well for him. It was another few days before Chuck even thought about going out again. When he did, he meet up with the Blood Devils again: this time they were stealing cars. Once again it didn't go so well for Chuck he did notice that the gang seemed to have a almost set way of fighting. He used this fact the next time he went up against them & he didn't come back from the fight with as much injuries then the past few times. He did also noticed that he seemed to get noticed by the noticed by the gang & during the fights they started to call him "Hero", he knew they meant in bad way but Chuck hadn't really thought of what he was going to call himself. So, the next time Chuck went out he used that name. He knew it was a bit jokey but it would work for now. On his patrol, he noticed an old lady was being mugged. He went to stop it, get the purse back form the mugger for the old lady. The thought of it being to easy had crossed his mind but he left it pass. He goes off to continue his patrol, the lady using his name. Chuck tells her his codename & leaves. When Chuck got back to his apartment he turned on his TV, the late local news on. They were talking about him, the mugging was a set up for them to get some footage of him. It wasn't very good footage, kind of grainy & from far away, but it still was footage. It was out there now & he was just glad he had his goggles on. The next day, no one asked him about it. Either they didn't see the report or no one thinks it's him. Chuck knew now that he had to be more aware of what was around him & what was happening. That one experience wasn't going to keep him from going out & doing what he thought was right. ---------------- Height: 6 ft. 1 in. Weight: 175 lb. Eyes: Blue Hair: Brownish Blond.
