---------------

Somewhere in Goth Haven, a non-descript building that no one truly ever really noticed. But then that must of been why Baron Heindrich Von Zemo choose it & that is probably why Herbert Garrick bought from the U.S. government shortly after it came into their pocession.

In the building's subbasement, Garrick is being debriefed. He sat before a gunmetal grey table in a room devoid of much else.

"Thank you for meeting me, sir."

"No problem. I wasn't going to re-enter this without first knowing all that had been going on since I left rather unexpectedly."

"Yes, sir."

"So, tell me about my Baby?" He said with a sly smile.

"Well, sir. The Federal Meta-Human Resource Center is not what it once was. The agency along with many other's going through changes do to the fact of..."

"New President." Garrick interrupted. "He's coming in, have new ideas. He is the change that America has been waiting 8 years for."

"Yes, sir."

"The funding for the Agency is current up for review so all aspects of the Program are being looked at."

Garrick smiles & gives a small laugh. "At least all the aspects that concern him."

"Yes & maybe more. The contents of Ruben Holcomb's Office have been seized by OPS & SPUD in joint investigation."

Garrick smiles & laughs once more. "Like they'd find anything."

"But, sir. Holcomb was the man in charge."

"No. He never was, I just let him think that. Holcomb has always had delusions of grandeur. That's partly was a hired him. Holcomb only ever knew what I needed him to know & in the grand scheme of things wasn't a whole lot."

Garrick says the look of shock on the man's face.

"Go on."

"Y-y-yes. Yes, sir. As you know A Class is dead."

"So? They were Clones, Clones with predestined kill dates. That little incident just saved me for having to do it myself. Was there anything left of them?"

"Yes there was." The man said as placed a large jar on the table. Held inside the jar were what appeared to be the contents on a lava lamp.

"When A Class died their bodies went into the gene coded failsafe & the entire group dissolved into unusable what for lack of no better word: goo."

Garrick shook his head in disbelief & then with a sly smile says, "It's not unusable goo. One just has to know how to work with it.”

“Thank you, sir.”

“Think nothing of it. What do you think we should do with the goo as you called it?”

“Given the state of degradation of the goo, sir. I suggest we dispose of the A Class version 3.0 & start on work on Version 4.0.”

“Excellent.”

As the two men talk, the jar begins to sway slightly back & forth.

“When would they be up & running?”

“Given the work we’ve been doing & aren’t stopped or slowed down by the new president. I’d think we could easily have a new A Class out in the field by early summer. One question, sir?”

“Only one?”

“For now.”

“What is it?”

“Would you like us to use the bases we used for 3.0 in 4.0 or use other bases?”

“How many do you have?”

“At last check which was in the yearly audit we have 6 different perfect team sets made up from the samples in our catalog. 3.0 was using team set 4.”

“What the most hard core team set we have?”

“That would 6, sir.”

“Then use that one.”

“Yes, sir.”

“How is B Class doing?”

“Wasted.”

That answer took Garrick by surprise for a second.

“They’re dead?”

“No. Just drunk. As for I can tell they have been drunk or at least buzzed for 67 % of the time they’ve have collectively been known as B Class.”

“Does this help in missions?”

“No, sir. There have been thoughts of liquidation but B Class sadly are clones.”

“There are other ways of liquidation.”

“We know, sir. But B Class have become minor celebrities. So, the public would be become aware of a any changes we might make.”

“Like they noticed any of the other changes we’ve made over the years.”

“True, sir. But when comes to Celebrities the public are fore some reason more attentive.”

“So, why hasn’t Miss Brandiwyne, their trainer, taken action to correct this?”

“According to her, she’s tried.”

“Not hard enough.”

“Yes, sir.”

“What is the situation on C Class?”

“M.I.A.”

“What?”

“Yes. Given that the people assigned to that case has been B Class the lack of progress is not unheard of.”

“Why are they the leads on that?”

“A Class were the leads but…” The man said as patted the lid of the jar.

Garrick sighed. “So, Holcomb gave it to them?”

“No. They got it by agency policy.”

“Why are they M.I.A.?”

“All currently known locations they have not been seen at: neither at Summer’s apartment or at his girlfriends’ place. They aren’t at where they originally ran off to…”

“Alaska?”

“Yes, sir. We’ve also been keeping wire taps on key associates: family members, neighbors, Senator Rudd, etc.”

Garrick rolls his eyes at the mention of the name.

“Hasn’t he been kicked out yet?”

“No. All the allegations brought up against him have been cleared.”

“I thought the dead hookers would have do it.”

“The hookers or the supposed attempts of selling property rights seemed to have been the most plausible.”

“How are they staying off our radar?”

“All the Intel we are working off for them is from when A Class was tracking them after that it drops off as the case fell in the laps of…”

“B Class.”

“Yes, sir.”

“Hmmm…” Garrick said as stroked his chin thoughtfully.

“Is there anything else that is truly pressing?”

“No, sir. Nothing that isn’t already in the report I handed to you earlier.”

“Thank you. You may leave now.”

“Thank you, sir.” The man said as he was given earplugs, then blindfolded & carried out of the room by to burly gentlemen in leisure suits.

Leaving Garrick alone with his thoughts & the goo that continue to jiggle around in it's jar.

THE END.

A good recap of the situation... I like the quick look at how the change in administration is affecting the Parodyverse's government-sponsered super teams. Looking forward to more!
