... Since my own seafaring experience was in much more modern ships anyway.
> You've definitely taken a shine to this concept, and the enthusiasm shows through (not that much from a self-proclaimed CrazySugarFreakBoy could be all that half-hearted...) I'll be curious to see how well the Captain can hold this band together. I mean, I'm not even a megalomaniac and I'd balk at following a guy who was routinely trounced by a bunch of prepubescents. For a bunch of schemers like this, I'd think there would be way too many head chefs and no sauciers.

Fortunately, he only has to keep them leashed for a short while longer. After that, he's kind of counting on them to be true to their own natures.
> As for Bar Sinister's stated goal, I'm curious as to how much of that is true. After all, the Hood's been plotting to take revenge on the creators of the Parodyverse for years now, and I don't know how much progress he's made, as of yet.
|
The distinction is that the Hood is looking to revenge himself against the Parodyverse's creators, whereas Bar Sinister's crew is being promised the chance to revenge themselves against their creators; that is, since those bad guys are "fictional," they'll be revenging themselves against the inhabitants of the "real world" of the Parodyverse. The Parodyverse is to these fictitious bad guys what our own world is to the characters who inhabit the Parodyverse.
And Bar Sinister's ultimate target is, as he reveals in this story, much more personal than that, but he's using his crew to hit that target on a greater number of fronts at once.
