> > I wonder how well Mumph would take advice on that? Since Lara met the Hooded Hood, the first piece of advice about him she would give is that the Hood likes pushing people's buttons and making them angry and reckless. That's why she laughs it off when he does that, or at least tries not to let it get to her too much. Though I'm sure with Lara the Hood holds the real scary button-pushing in reserve, in case he needs it later.

> Well, the Hood and Mumph have some old history by now, so Idon't think either's going to pull their punches with the other.

This is where Lara rolls her eyes and mumbles something about guys thinking with their fists.
> > The last time the Hood met Lara, I chose that strategy on purpose. Why? Because it's far more evil for the Hood to tell Lara the truth and then let her choose whether to help. That way she has to make a painful choice without being threatened by something of his doing. Besides, it makes more sense that way since Lara has so little to lose in the Parodyverse - she doesn't live there, and threatening the few friends she has there repeatedly would be beneath the Hood.

> The Hood is good at using words against people.

She tries to be aware of that and listens very carefully. Unfortunately, the Hood also often hints at information only he has, meaning she wouldn't understand the context properly.
It also occurred to me, after reading an old conversation between the Psychic Samurai and Commissioner Graham, that Chiaki has a few things in common with the Hooded Hood.

> Meanwhile, as more races work out that what happened to the Shee-Yar happened because they assaulted Earth less and less people are going to be interested in conquering the place. Fortunately, right now the rumour is that a Naicluvian alien named Joey Z had confessed to the genocide.

That's good for Earth, at least. Not so much for the Trading Alliance, though, because it's going to keep them from making a profit anywhere near Earth.
