Because, really, it's Sarah Jane and Davros' ~~world~~ universe, and the rest of us are just living in it.

The degree to which Elisabeth Sladen and Julian Bleach PWN this scene cannot be quantified by actual numbers. You'd, like, have to invent new numbers to measure it, like the made-up numbers that Disney uses to count how much money Scrooge McDuck has in his Money Bin.
