She needed to become her own person at some point. This happening to her is going to force her to finally assert herself to avoid slipping back into what she was, what she hated.

Depends on perception. If Liu Xi feels like the premise is "You'll stay here as long as I wish or your friends will die" she's going to feel like a prisoner and rebel violently. She did warn her grandfather she would do just that, so it should be no surprise to him.

Probably, but she already made it clear that she's only behind him as long as he cooperates with her. If he stops cooperating Liu Xi will do everything she can to be a complete pain.
