Subj: No reason to make this too easy for people, is there?

Reply Subj: It's a good thing that there aren't too many suspects involved...

> More great stuff linked together into an engrossing story. I'm quite happy to see Champagne at work inside the Mansion, and I'm sure that mousetrap could have been meant for anyone, really. As could the poultry room. Frankly, I think they took it easy on Garrick... I was sure they were setting him up to barge into Space Ghost's closet.

I think we established that Space Ghost's closet had finally left the building a while back. You'll have to settle for the Poultry Room for a while.

> The Beth Zemo scene didn't disappoint, although if she was telling the truth, then Lair Security really isn't worth much of anything. A whole Purveyors team tromped around down there and the Legion couldn't detect them, even after the fact? And they weren't even the culprits? I'd say it's time to upgrade the security system or buy a dog, but both Hallie and Glory were on duty. Well, Glory was out for walkies, but still.

I did worry about this, because I didn't want the team to look lax. On the other hand, if anyone can arrange for a team of baddies to just sneal past Mansion security it's surely the Baroness, who had months of time to set up a back-door and then sole occupancy of the site during her time ruling the planet for any other last-minute preparations she might have needed to make.

And of course, the Purveyors of Peril are supposed to be the varsity of villains. If the LL can sneak into the archvillain's stronghold undetected then they have to accept that the Purveyors at least stand a chance of doing it to them.

There's a third reason too, but discussing that would spoil the plot.

> Quite the flare up between Lara and the Chronicler. I think she might have come a hairs breadth from being rewritten as a muskrat. I'm curious to see how the Shoggoth fares, and if he gets to test his theory about why the Legion was told about Danny in the first place.

Chris did send me an e-mail with some instructions in it.

> Great stuff, and I look forward to more!

I've had correspondence from Hatty and the Shoggoth about the next chapter but I think I'll leave it a day or so to see if anyone else wants to chip in before we move on to the solution.
