> How much of the Chronicler's assertion does he pass on to the LL? To the governments of the world?
> All of it to the LL, some of it to those outside the team whom they can trust, including some members of governments. And yes, this means that the governments of the world can't trust the LL, but since Dream doesn't trust the governments of the world, he'd consider that just.

Noted. I guess as of #5 the Chronicler's done an end run on that.

> Who makes the call about Danny's future? Hatty? LL vote? SPUD? The UN?
> The LL, plus perhaps those trusted few outside the team. Basically, those who are actually qualified to make this type of decision, based on direct past experience in successfully resolving such situations. World leaders who wear flight suits and say "Mission accomplished" at the start of interminable wars would not, in Dream's opinion, qualify.

I've tried to utilise that as well.

> Is Danny allowed to wake up and speak in his own defence?
> It's his life that's on the line, so a voice and a defense are the least that he's entitled to here.

It's a shame he's vanished before he could defend himself.

> Who explains all this to Kerry, and how? Who pays for the damage afterwards?
> Dream would be willing to try, if only because of his relative invulnerability, but for story purposes, it really has to be Vizh.

That seemed to be the consensus, yes. I've written it into part 4.

> What if the Chronicler seeks to sanction Danny? Will the LL defend him?

> Dream will defend him, until Danny gives him good reason to do otherwise. As far as he's concerned, losing any lives is not an option, because he refuses to believe that the only way to save the lives of many is to sacrifice the lives of a few, or even of one.

A welcome and consistent piece of characterisation.

> What if the Chronicler seeks to remove the Nexus from Earth, leaving Earth vulnerable to dying in sub-plots, robbing it of its destiny? Would the LL battle to stop the Chronicler?

> You shouldn't even need to ask by now. Dream is especially inclined to disagree with the Chronicler right now, since presuming Danny guilty until proven innocent for wrongs that his alternate reality counterpart committed would feel a bit too much to Dream like admitting that he himself should be held accountable for his own acts in that alternate reality. Of course, Dream would disagree with the Chronicler by reflex reaction even if he wasn't looking to reaffirm his belief that he's not a murderer, because Dream despises the mere concept of Destiny with every fiber of his Chaotic being, so if you tell him that anything is a 100-percent certainty, it's simply going to galvanize him to prove you wrong.

We'll see if it comes to that. I decided I'd better plot out a framework with this particular RR and I expect it to get... interesting.

> As an aside, the Chronicler's comments about always losing something when one dies, even if one comes back to life, makes me think about what Dream might have lost already ...

Indeed. How would you feel about a temporary scenario where Dream gets replaced by CSFB! the day after he joined the LL?
