I'm more looking at precedent. During the Parody War Sir Mumphrey was elected as leader of Earth's defenses, and then he promptly ignored pretty much anything the world government's threw at him. I can't think of any times where Jarvis, Lisa, Vizh, Finny, or Sir Mumphrey consulted with the world government's about cosmic level threats. So while I guess that doesn't make your statement untrue, it means it's not just Hatty.

Or perhaps a small number of readership will rise up and fight for their favourite title? (I'm thinking specifically of Spider-Girl here, which has faced cancellation 2 or 3 times and has been saved each time by fan campaigns)
