> Now Vinnie is going to be in trouble with Liu Xi both for a demon temptress visiting him *and* for following her to Egypt without any backup.

Ah. Vinnie's in trouble.

As Vinnie pointed out, this is hardly his first encounter with a demoness. He's far better equipped to handle a visit from a succubus than a visit from Liu Xi Xian. He knows what to expect from a demoness.

As for going to Egypt, he has bills to pay.

> On a lighter note, Vinnie would have been in real trouble if he was fooled by Regret taking a similar form to Liu Xi.

For all his social awkwardness Vinnie's actually a pretty fair occultist; maybe not Xander-class but good enough to hold his own against his family.

> I think Koo Koo Kachu is was too close to saying "nothing can stop me now" to succeed. Though since he's trying to reorder reality he's exactly the kind of person Faite may decide to annoy regularly. He's also the kind of person that Lara Night would have had to thwart if it wasn't out of her jurisdiction (that's an example of what her job would be back home).

We've established that the Parodyverse is made of stories. It's a consensus reality. If enough people can be made to believe the same thing at the same time then that will always have been the way it is.

The trap is that anyone entering Koo's altered world-state gets altered (unless he needs them to remain themselves like Tom). It's a variant of the Mythlands transformation that Vizh and Co suffered when they quested for Naari, except it's psychological as well as physical. Hence Liu Xi might become a savant from Cathay, Lara a djinn, Anna a strange and wonderful mechanical simulacrum and so on, none of them recalling their original background or history.

Their characters would remain essentially the same, however. That's why Desert Rose and Aree still oppose the sorcerer-king.

But more of the villain's plots next time.
