She wasn't really feuding with him, she was a loose end. Being a former associate of Akiko's, not observing the territory lines, figuring out everyone's secret deals, and being in contact with the Lair Legion is a dangerous recipe for an up-and-coming gangster to deal with.

The plan was to make herself more dangerous dead than alive.
