Either way it's bad. I needed a shorthand way to illustrate the resistance to Kiivan's reforms and this seemed like the easiest way. Actually, Serooq isn't about grabbing power (although his allies are), he's about keeping Caph pure by his own standards. In other words, he believes he's doing what's right.
