It's also a follow-up because it fits a small status-quo set up by Hatman-poster:  That after the Moderator is fought and beaten, evil-Jay would take a bid to sieze power.

Also, people kept telling me (and I think you hinted at it too) that the female associates of the Legion never get a chance, and that perhaps this is the chance.  I took that opening.  

I didn't even start writing this until late Thursday night, and finished it today just before posting it.  At first I assumed since Ian usually takes the lead posting conclusions, I'd let him do it.  When he posted something else, I took a chance.

I hope it doesn't upset anyone.  I just took the opening offered to me when nobody else stepped up (in fact, the characters in the story subtly imply they "may be all that's left"), because I wanted to see things move forward.  If the point was for someone else to finish it, and everyone was supposed to wait for that person to do it...sorry, I guess I missed a memo.  

I'll give it a couple of days, and if there are too many objections I'll pull this story off the board and wait for someone else to do the job.
