I'm still trying to focus this story on the new cut-down core team and determine if they're able to handle things like the larger previous team did. A close look at the Hallowe'en Compound story will pick up a throwaway line there that indicates that that tale and this one were happening at the same time, which is why Liu Xi's not available here.
