> > > Probably tasted like octopus sushi with orange juice, fuchia, > > > As a side note, I'm sure Liu Xi is also curious what exactly attracts him to her - whether it's the person or the power he likes.
> > It's the person. Vinny's grown up with powerful sorcerers and sorceresses all around him. He's not intimidated by power, but he's not attracted to it either. The most he'd do is casually note a neat trick, in the same way as an everyday person might say "nice catch."
> From Liu Xi's point of view, though, it seems like he's always fascinated with her power.  She wouldn't be sure exactly what he's attracted to.

Vinny's just making sure she's not possessed, a succubus in disguise, or one of the young witches that his mother keeps trying to set him up with.

> Though because Chiaki is perceptive, she can guess that the landlord may try to take advantage of the fact that Vinny has higher-profile cases and knows Lair Legion associates by raising the rent.  She would be just the person to prevent that.

Why does wanting Vinny to pay three-week overdue rent make Alto a bad guy?
