> > Liu Xi most likely finds Vinny entertaining, though she might be less charmed than he guesses.
>
> I'm not sure Vinny thinks he's charming her. He probably thinks he's striking out again.

At the very least he may have earned a friend. He might not expect that.

> > The only other two people in her life that behaved that way around her are Exu and Visionary - two people she's also entertained by but not much else other than friendship perhaps.  He has his work cut out for him.

> He's reacting the way any red-blooded hetero male might do around a hot girl. he's not about to pledge his everlasting devotion to her, but he'd be fine going for a hot dog and a movie.

The point is that Liu Xi has come a long way from the time when she was supposed to be sold as a bride. Now she's a lot more sceptical, more confident, and much harder to impress. But she still appreciates the effort when it's given.

> > Either way this should be some interesting exposure for her since she's never had to deal with ghosts before.  She might learn a lot about the abilities she has that way, having to deal with something that's not at all physical.
>
> I thought it might provide an interesting contrast.
