Rumours of a TRON remake have been around for years. Still, if they ever get round to doing it...
What I really would have liked is the sequel to Lord of the Rings (the animated one that got about half-way through and was a lot more faithful to its source material).

Since it supposedly would have had the grown son of Bruce Boxleitner and Cindy Morgan's characters going into cyberspace to find Jeff Bridges' character, who would have disappeared entirely into the digital world some time before the movie. Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness (and its later adaptation, Apocalypse Now) were mentioned more than a few times as inspirations for the story, with Bridges' character specifically being compared to Kurtz.
Oh, and the rumored idea of the Master Control Program resurrecting itself in the form of Google the world's largest Internet search engine sounded fun, too. Rehire Syd Mead and Moebius to do designs, and I'd buy the movie ticket and the DVD.
