Tales of the Parodyverse >> View Post |

Last year I was 'encouraged' (or possibly goaded) into falling off the wagon and writing another Parodyverse story for the holiday season. Or, as it turned out, six Parodyverse stories, now archived at: #349: Untold Tales of the Lair Legion: Change and Decay #350: Untold Tales of the Lair Legion: One Of Our Archvillains Is Missing #351: Untold Tales of the New Pantheon: The End of Superheroes #352: Untold Tales of the Lair Legion: Bookkeeping #353: Untold Tales of the Lair Legion: After the Bookkeeping #354: Untold Tales of the Lair Legion: Settling Debts We had a sort of reunion revival on the Parodyverse board at http://parodyverse.strike-two.com/ for a short while. A few people suggested another brief encounter this Christmas (or winter festival of your choice), and I've failed to resist the lure. Proper work be damned, I've got some more stories to tell. What I intend to attempt over December is to post a short segment each day which will probably equate to and eventually turn into four or five full-length Untold Tales. I say attempt because I don;t know if I can manage the pace - or if anyone will turn up to read and comment. Nut if you do want to say hi to old acquaintances and relive your youth a bit, here's your chance. And if you wanted to add a story yourself, well that is strongly encouraged. I've e-mailed as many folks as I have current addresses for, working off a very outdated address book, so if you have ways of forwarding notification to other alumni then please do so. Specific "bounces" I've had back so far are for Donar, spiffy, ManMan, Nats, and Tobias Ranchburger; and that's thirty seconds after sending out the message. As a light entrée I'll be starting off with Untold Tales of the Senior Junior Lair Legion: The College Years. We'll get to the stuff that includes actual poster-characters once I've got that out of my system, presenting Untold Tales of the Parodyverse: The Sky Is Falling. Best wishes from Ian Watson and... the Hooded Hood. | |||
