Such a highly edited version of things! I'm beginning to think that you can't take what you see at face value when dealing with fairies. Nicely done and evocatively described! I think a bunch of New Zealand artists are already hard at work churning out concept art for this...

Quote: “the pixies and the nixies, the pookas and the bookas, the naiads, the dryads, the oreads, the pucks and the leprechauns, the tallow men and the flibbertigibbets and the woses and the fetches and the cluricaunes, the hungry men and fear dherg and roanes and selkies and swanmays and foxwomen, the imps and the fauns and the satyrs and the dwarves; the elves in their shimmering silver gowns and the high faeries with their shimmering rainbow wings. Golden trumpets sounded her approach. Bright flashes filled the skies. This sounded familiar to me so I Googled it to see where it came from.

Not highly edited - they were direct quotes. Your kids and friends are a bloodthirsty warmongering lot. Quote: Nicely done and evocatively described! Quote: This sounded familiar to me so I Googled it to see where it came from.It should, you wrote it. I was checking sources quickly and liked what you had depicted there - so put it in carte blanche - meant to add footnotes but I wrote this very quickly last night (in like 15 minutes) and was falling asleep - it was frustrating enough to find a font (which I didn't - i wanted a cursive thing) and a colour to post it in. Anyway - the aforementioned text was directly lifted from UT#285 as was the name of the Herald: Xaradim, and the fact that Queene Mab has silver eyes. Those familiar with English history may also note another quote with connections there.

Quote: Those familiar with English history may also note another quote with connections there. It has eluded me. Then again, it turns out I don't even remember things I've written. Yesterday's Untold tales had to be redone when Rhiannon reminded me that Marie Murcheson was once again dead.

I was hunting for a line from Spencer or something: “For whatsoever from one place doth fall, Is with the tide unto an other brought: For there is nothing lost, that may be found, if sought.†or “For we by conquest, of our soveraine might, And by eternall doome of Fate's decree, Have wonne the Empire of the Heavens bright.†
