I need someone to volunteer to read my novel and let me know what they might compare it to. I'm stumped for an idea on who to compare my writing to. Just leave me a message here and I'll try to get it to you ASAP! Thank you in advance! The man who puts the Spaz in Spaztic!

First of all - got the message - I'll try and look at things in the next week or so. This does rather heavily depend on work, as we seem to have a sudden infestation of idiots at the moment... "I need someone to volunteer to read my novel and let me know what they might compare it to. I'm stumped for an idea on who to compare my writing to." I'm not sure what you mean here... If you mean comparing your writing to another author, then this is probably not a good idea. You will end up just producing pastiches of someone elses work.

Thanks, and good luck with the idiot overload at work. Been there, done that... As for comparing, I'd rather not be compared to an author but rather a book, like Harry Potter for example (which my book is definitely not like). Thanks again!

Finally got the idiots out of the way at work (or at least delayed to next week). Also finished making the plushie for my sister and weathering my daughter's 14th birthday party... This means that I got to reading the story rather earlier than I anticipated. Quote: Thanks, and good luck with the idiot overload at work. Been there, done that... As for comparing, I'd rather not be compared to an author but rather a book, like Harry Potter for example (which my book is definitely not like). Thanks again!Unfortunately, there is no difference between the two. Either way you are running the risk of producing a pastiche of someone elses work. |
