Okay, cold turkey was too much... so I'm going to draw down gradually. Honest. Besides, I think I'm onto something here...

An interesting and (as always) humorous comparison. I'd chastise you for spoiling the end of Fear Itself, but then remembered that had already been ruined by Issues 1-6.

From what little I've seen, the Red Skull has breasts and everyone has a big hammer. It really seemed like only bunnies could tie it all together. And in all honesty, if the MLP stuff bugs people I will happily quit with it. It pains me to see nothing whatsoever on the board day after day, though, and so I actively look for *something* to put up.

The heroes ("The Mighty") get a bunch of crappy looking weapons that seem inspired by World of Warcraft and Tron. Pathetic. I think the only reason Marvel did this story is to have an excuse to sell variant action figures. Quote: And in all honesty, if the MLP stuff bugs people I will happily quit with it. I'm just happy to see posts. What happened to IW, CSFB!, the Shoggoth, Hatty, etc. Come back guys - we miss you! Meanwhile my own stories are creeping along at the pace of a snail. A dead snail. I have a spider one almost started. I'm about to go off again, but just for a week, and will have some time to check in anyway I suspect. So keep posting - even if MLP stuff. Al B.

I was going to write an explanation to go along with the chart and had considered identifying the actual characters mentioned, but then I decided it was both more entertaining (to me, at least) and more interesting of an exercise to let people puzzle things out for themselves. Besides, I figure, aside from the joke Avengers entries, people familiar with each property can easily identify which character I'm talking about. Quote: I'm just happy to see posts. What happened to IW, CSFB!, the Shoggoth, Hatty, etc. Come back guys - we miss you! We do miss them, but people do get busy. Of course, the board isn't exactly moving at a blistering pace. It was ten days ago that I swore off doing another post like this, even though that one is only a few entries below. Many people have their own blogs now for talking about random things that interest them. Me, I choose to pester you people instead. No thanks are necessary. Quote: Meanwhile my own stories are creeping along at the pace of a snail. A dead snail. I have a spider one almost started. Dead snails can still slide downhill at a measurable rate. It's all due to the mucous. Don't give up! Quote: I'm about to go off again, but just for a week, and will have some time to check in anyway I suspect. So keep posting - even if MLP stuff. We'll see. I have, mostly, managed to avoid spamming the board with MLP stuff that didn't originate with me. I figure that's something at least. Have a safe trip and check in when you can!

I think the only reason Marvel did this story is to have an excuse to sell variant action figures. Heh... wow, those really do look like Tron outfits! I guess Disney isn't going to sue them any longer, so why not go all out? Is there a reason Iron Man seems to be in some kind of bondage armor? And is Wolverine made of lava? Honestly, I figured this "event" was either really bad or actually something special since I can usually follow what's going on in the Marvel Universe just by reading a few websites and looking at preview images. However, with this one I really have no concept of what's going on... Nothing I've seen really made the core concept clear, so I thought it either was being kept well under wraps or more of an unfocused mess.
