Wohoo! Vizh is finally going to join up! Lots of fun news and teasers in this little preview of Season 2 (no idea when that's actually due to start airing, though.) "Will neither confirm nor deny that the Scarlet Witch and her brother Quicksilver will be appearing..." is certainly enticing. Ms. Marvel looks like a lot of fun, and while I like her black/blue lightning bolt costume best, I admit that this flashier one will probably look more exciting on the show (especially against outer-space backdrops.) The Guardians of the Galaxy should be fun. Really, the only downside are the Ultimates designs that are being brought in. Looking forward to the new episodes!

I can't be the only one who fondly remembers Byrne's "washed out" redesign? Looks interesting, though I am stunned they are going to change Cap's costume. Why mess with perfection?

Quote: I can't be the only one who fondly remembers Byrne's "washed out" redesign?I suspect only you and Byrne have 'fond' memories of it. ;D I mean...even the other Avengers used to bag him out for looking like an albino. Personally I liked Steve Epting's update of the traditional look during the Gatherer's saga.

I get what Byrne was going for with the ghostly-white look, but barefoot and albino is not really an improvement. With the pale yellow tint they tended to give him, the whole spoiled milk coloring was too much. To this day I'm still upset that this costume design had to come into being at just the right time to make up Vision's look in the Captain America and the Avengers video game. I do like the Gatherer's look as a streamlined version of Vizh, and making the cape the green color helped give him more of a dark look, but my preference is still his classic outfit. Personally, I love the "Ming the Merciless" collar and cowl design and the whole retro-scifi feel of it. Very befitting a robot who was originally built in the 30's.

I've been buying the "Fables" trades because that's a fun series, but it's the only ongoing thing I still have any interest in. Last year Marvel put out something called "Dead Avengers" which featured the Vision and other deceased Avengers in the afterlife fighting the Grim Reaper. That was a nice 3 issue story. I also bought some collections of an all-ages Avengers book that had the Vision in it and was actually a fun little book. I think they cancelled it though. So I haven't been in an actual comic shop in ages.

Some of the smarter companies are looking the other way when their shows come on YouTube thanks to fans. It only helps to build the fan base. Of course, winning more fans to the Avengers helps a variety of other Avengers related projects and merchandise. I suppose if your only product is the show itself, then it's more understandable that you'd chase free versions of it off the web.
