Backwards thinking people, surely. The fact that he'll no longer be playing J. Jonah Jameson in the Spider-man flicks is very nearly criminal.

The good news, however, is that he signed on to play Cave Johnson, founder of Aperture Science in a series of promotional videos for "Portal 2". Now, the original Portal game remains one of my favorite entertainments of all time, with its great mixture of humor, action and puzzles. Plus, (next to Hallie of course,) mentally unstable GlaDOS is my favorite A.I./computer/robot character of all time.

In any event, in honor of the sequel being released next week (and the Parodyverse board being kind of sparse on any entertainment) please enjoy these J.K. Simmons narrated "Investment Opportunities" from Aperture Science:

And finally "Boots" which I'm pretty sure Finny tried to have NTU build for the Legion back in the day...

He's also a regular on Generator Rex, as the voice of the star's Lawful Neutral bastard boss White Knight. Another great performance.

And while I haven't played Portal (yet), I've been doing a lot of video gaming, and even had a video game writing job prior to the site's demise recently. \:\( (It was ConsolePress, for the record).

He's a busy guy, between teaching all of those insurance agents on television.

I love Portal. Track it down if you get the chance... it's entirely possible to complete the first game in one (long) sitting. I think it only took me about 6 hours to do the entire game. As a result, it really was only considered an "extra" of sorts, packaged along with the more eagerly awaited Half-life 2 chapter and Team Fortress 2... but it went on to steal many "Game of the Year" honors.

I really should read more game press, what with still being in the industry. I've very much out of the loop since I left the office environment to work freelance, however.
