Amber St. Claire leafed through the pile of paperwork in her hands as she walked through the halls of the Lair Mansion. Unlike most of the support staff Amber had no plans to go out for St. Patrick's Day, and chose to take the quiet time in the Mansion as an opportunity to catch up on paperwork.

As she rounded the corner towards the Lair Kitchen, a pink and black blur tackled her and dragged her back around the corner. She tried to cry out for help, but a strong, feminine hand wrapped itself around her mouth with a grip of steel. Her papers flew everywhere and served as the only evidence she had ever been there.

"Don't say a word," a familiar voice whispered in her ear. "I'm not going to hurt you, but when I let go you have to promise not to scream."

Amber nodded her head as best she could, even as she prepared to let loose with a scream that would put the Legion's resident banshee to shame. Before her captor let go of her she was spun around to face her assailant.

"Ymmi?" she mumbled through the cybord PI's hand. The pink-haired Legionnaire let go, and Amber rubbed her arm where Yuki had grabbed her. "What is the big-?"

"Shhh!" Yuki motioned for silence. She poked her head around the corner, then let out a sigh of relief. "What do you think you're doing?"

"What am I doing?" Amber repeated incredulously. "What are you doing, attacking me like that?"

"Sister, I just saved you," Yuki assured her. "Do you have any idea what day it is?"

"Yes..." Amber replied, unsure of the life-endangering properties of St. Patrick's Day.

"So why are you walking around the halls of the Lair Mansion without wearing any green?" Amber would have laughed if not for the serious look on the cyborg's face.

"You're serious? You tackled me, set me back who knows how long getting those documents back in order, and claim to have saved me because I'm not wearing green?" Amber was glad she had taken out stock in Advil when she took the Legion job.

"You are aware of the tradition of pinching those who are not wearing green, right?" checked the Legionnaire.

"Yeah, so? The place is practically empty."

"Almost empty, yes. A certain someone has yet to go out for his night on the town," Yuki said cryptically. She slipped a green clip-on bowtie out of her pocket and pinned it on Amber. "Remember, you owe me."

Yuki took her leave, presumably off to some celebration featuring green refreshments. Amber shook her head as she began to pick up the papers that had been spilled.

Before she could finish, Amber felt the mansion shake and heard a blood-curdling scream.

Flapjack had discovered Nanny Greenwood was also not wearing green.

Yuki usually has purple hair, but she probably would change her hair color for a crazy holiday. And that would explain why Amber didn't recognize her right away.

Really Amber didn't recognize her at first simply because she was tackled without warning.
