I've been trying to figure out what write for sometime but I just can't seem to come up with anything. I sort feel like the well has run dry. The only thing had managed to write was the sort of depressing story entitled "Sign of the Times?" most of the way down the first page & that sort of depresses me that I the only thing I could manage to write was a thinly veiled story about how I can't come up with anything new stories & feeling the group is dying.

I sort of feel that I should be doing more here but I'm not. I should be reading what people are posting but I'm not & I'm sorry. I know that might not mean much to anyone. I've tried to come up with further adventures of my characters but I got nothing, even those things that I'm in the middle of stories with.

Case in point: Chad, Ronnie, Catherine & Jane. I've got all 4 of them in the middle of a story/stories. Back in April I started a story called: Chad & Ronnie: Fugitives which was to be my way of getting around to my last big idea surrounding the 2 characters: Their origin. I've had a half thought out Origin for the 2 of them for sometime & it has sort of colored how some of the stories over the years have turned out. It's also colored how I write certain characters related to the stories. So, I wrote out a prologue & tow part of the story before going into an slightly related interlude, which I added in since it was another idea I had for the Chad & Ronnie mythos for sometime & hadn't figured out how to use it but then had it so I added in.

And that is where I left it! Chad & Ronnie still on some mystery trip, a group of well dressed men claiming to be with Ronnie's family looking for him but having no idea who Chad was, Catherine in Comic Book Limbo & Jane in some other place with a Tarzan like character. Also, what happened to Little Cat? I had a few idea (at one time) of what Catherine was to be doing in CBL & had some ideas for the end of the story. But had no idea how anyone would meet back up with each other.

There are my other characters that I've tried to come up with stuff for.

- Semi-Transparent Lad & friends were last seen during Forest Week after a 2 year absence somewhere in the Oregon woods searching for Vampires. Did they find any? I don't know, I never finished the story. \:\)

- Ham-Boy is God knows where. I tried to come up with ideas for him but every time I come up blank.

- Lee Bookman is around, doing his thing. Don't really have any ideas for him, much like Ham-Boy. I thought about killing Lee off once more. Done it at least once or maybe twice. During his death the character seemed to progress quite nicely. Also, if he did die: I could post those few stories I have of the Moon Public Library's back-up plan in case of his death. What those are have been mentioned a time or two in a few stories.

I think that enough of my ramblings.

If you want wanted to read any of the stories I mentioned I've posted links here:

We've certainly seen busier times. The odd thing is that I feel the quality is good. Most of the posters here have improved at their writing craft over time.

Not reading might be a mistake. In a shared universe it's often the stories of others that spark an associative idea that becomes a tale of one's own. Even outside a shared universe reading in the same genre can sometimes inspire and often suggest techniques. And of course, other writers need the encouragement of an audience too.

Sounds like you need a semi-new plotline that hooks everything together and allows for some force to drag your cast into the same room. Once there they can catch up on their various adventures with each other and catch us up at the same time.

Some possible titles:

The Trial of Chad and Ronnie
Chad and Ronnie: This is Your Life
Chad and Ronnie and the Quiz Show of Doom
What I Did In My Holidays to Apocalyspe
Chad and Ronnie in the City of Monkeys
How I Became a Temporary Demigoddess
A Day in the Life of the Guy Who Had To Catch Chad and Ronnie

That's quite a horror ending. Have them teleported to the same place as C & R and CO along with a very a surprised guy in a vampire mask.

You need a story like the old Spidey "Sinister Six" Annual where all Ham-Boy's rogues gallery take him on one by one - to save Goth Haven!

Your call. Even Lee appearing to be dead would allow those kinds of stories though.

Anyway, the first rule of getting past a writers block is to write. One sentence. Then one paragraph. Then one scene. Repeat as neccessary. Force yourself to get a story out, even a short one, within a week from now. We've never had a Little Cat solo adventure, you know.

I think I've improved over the years

Yeah, I agree with you. This is sort of one of the things I feel guilty about. There are other things I feel guilty about but most of them are non PV related.

I think it would have to be a two fold story: Catherine & Jane come back together some how then they find the duo (Chad & Ronnie) who explain where they been.

Hmmm....

Not sure the Trial idea would work, I've sort of already did something like that before. The "This is your Life" idea would sort of fit into what I had planned for the end of this story. "Quiz Show of Doom": I don't know. That seems like I'd have to sort of due some more set & be yet another tangent off the main story. "Holidays on Apocalypse": again another tangent but plus, Im not sure how people of other planets would take Chrismahannaqawanza. "City of Monkeys": another tangent would could maybe used later on. "Temporary Goddess": Maybe. The "day in the Life" idea might be there later.

I doubt it. I sort of like to keep my stuff separate from each other until bringing them together makes since. STL could meet Ham-Boy or lee since it might be Super Heroes related but a meeting with C&R does really make sense (not that a meeting would make sense anyways).

Maybe. I'd have to give this some serious thought. I'm not even sure where HB is at the moment. I sort of lost track off him a year or two ago.

It's always been a possibility & I've done a number of half stories that involve Lee's death. They just haven't really fit into continuity before.

I'm at the moment of trying to figure out an ending to the Interlude (Catherine in Comic Book Limbo & Jane where ever she is) & then by the new year I'm hopefully back on track with the story.

As for a Little Cat solo story: I don't know. I do have to figure out something since I left him at him & I'm not sure how long Catherine has been gone. So, I might have killed LC off accidentally. \:\(
