Just wondering.

I for one am glad The Doctor is back.

For my non-spoiler comments on the first episode, see http://mangacool.com/php/show.php?rpy=parodyverse-20080408133108

Non-spoiler comments on epsidoes 2 and 3?

Episode 2 was the strongest of the new series so far, 3 was the weakest.

Episode 2 had some good acting, some emotional moments, some fairly good visual effects, and as strong a rationale for the Doctor needing a companion as we've ever seen. It also has some pretty spooky predictions for the rest of the season.

Episode 3 didn't quite hook me as much, although it was still very watchable. There was only one prediction in this, but it was rather troubling.

Episodes 4 and 5 look like they're going to be real fun.

I'm glad it's back, too. I really enjoyed the annual Christmas episode and next week is the first episode of season 4. It's great having the Doc back!

... But having seen the next two episodes online already, they're much better. His new companion is awesome. \:\)

It's interesting that they try to pitch the Christmas episodes at a slightly different audience - or perhaps an audience in a slightly different mood with slightly different expectations.

I was once agains surprised that a principal guest start - Kylie Minogue this time - could actually turn in a good nuanced performance, aided by a perceptive script. She's apparently even indicated that she'd not be averse to coming back sometime.

The Doctor in social settings is always interesting, just to see how he's going to subvert them.

On the other hand, some of the silliness, like the Queen waving "Thank you Doctor", rather spoiled the suspension od disbelief for me.

And the old man who played the newsseller Wilf so impressed the production team that they invited him back for several episodes in series 4.

I was entertained by the Christmas episode but I thought it the weakest of the three so far - Christmas Invasion being the strongest.

On the other hand it looked gorgeous.

HH with spoilers for Episodes 1 and 2 or season 4

Good. Less needy. I liked her. Janeen reminded me that she's the singer of "Locomotion".

LOL

Yeah. That old werewolf should dislike him.

Isn't he Donna's grandfather?

Question: How much would a season of Doctor Who be in the UK? They are $100.00 each here.
