Subject: I'm getting arrested for charity, and I need you to bail me out. :) Posted Sun Mar 23, 2008 at 11:19:04 pm EDT (Viewed 405 times) |

The Muscular Dystrophy Association "arrested" a whole bunch of people for charity last year, and I was one of them.
Apparently, I did such a good job of raising "bail" money for them that I got tapped to do it again this year.
If you click the link to my Web page, at ...
https://www.mdaevent.org/ParticipantInfo.aspx?j=f71bf1a5-c2f5-408b-9a88-cc5dc36df739
... You can donate to the MDA online via credit card. It's tax deductible and goes to a good cause.
I've been avoiding using the text of the suggested form letter, because I wanted you all to know this was coming from me and not spam.
However, the MDA does a good job of explaining themselves, so here's a quote from them on what they're all about:
MDA serves people in our community with neuromuscular disease by providing clinics, support groups, assistance with the purchase and repair of wheelchairs, braces and communication devices, and summer camp for kids. MDA also funds research grants to help find treatments and cures for some 43 neuromuscular diseases that affect people of all ages, right here in our community.
So, either click the link, or cut-and-paste it into your Web browser address bar, and follow the MDA's instructions on the rest, and you can help out "Jerry's Kids," in addition to helping "bail me out of jail" April 9 (that's my collection deadline).
Here's the Web site link again:

Thanks, gang.

Am I going to get dinged for converting my highly valued Canadian dollar to your less than impressive American one? Okay, despite the sarcasm, I am curious. If there is a fee or a problem converting I could maybe PayPal it to you and then you could add it yourself.
