First off, well done on some well-told action sequences. The whole thing had a nice on-the-run pace that suited to content.

Here's what I'm intrigued by. You probably hadn't picked up on it, but everyone thought that all the Parody Master's Dimensional Dreadnaughts had been destroyed except for the Cruel Deceiver - and that last one perished getting Liu Xi to the Celestian Control Plane. Moreover, the Dreadnaughts were only feasible and uberpowered because the Parody Master lent them his energies. The Hooded Hood had to go to extreme lengths to find artefacts to keep the Deceiver going.

It *can* spawn into something bigger, but doesn't need to.

There's an unwritten rule with large fleets of anything that exists in large numbers can end up with a few stolen without anyone realizing it. It could be that a Dimensional Dreadnaught or two crashed, and though its crew died, it was fully functional with a few repairs.

Whoever took possession of this one, if you notice, didn't really know how to maintain it. The ship was in such disrepair that it failed instantly when its structural integrity field was compromised. That was a narrative tool I used to show that it was probably stolen, and also to explain why a single corporate Alliance ship could do so much damage to it.

Side note on those Alliance ships:

In Traders, its established that Shen Rae and Jai Yoon are from a planet in the "outer reach". They were supposed to be the only Earth-like humans they knew about in Alliance territory - the rest was made up of other races. The only ones they were not sure about were the original Traders - the ones from the core Alliance worlds - because no one really had contact with them anymore.

Eventually, Shen Rae does run into one of them, a Captain of a ship that's so large, a dozen of those ships that you see Shen Rae and Jai Yoon piloting will fit inside. That Captain is not only Earth-like human, but they know about Shen Rae's kind (they call her kind Naa Ko, which means something like god-people). The large craft she's piloting is because she was authorized by the core worlds corporations to investigate and punish the wiping out of the Naa Ko.

It's getting to be a really complicated story.
