Subj: Light mental scarring is what both hallowe'en and the Parodyverse are all about. Posted: Mon Oct 31, 2011 at 06:01:26 pm EDT (Viewed 2 times) | Reply Subj: A fine, rousing and only slightly mentally-scarring finish! Posted: Mon Oct 31, 2011 at 11:47:11 am EDT (Viewed 1148 times)
Quote: An excellent little Halloween tale! And it's really quite plausible too. In fact, here are a couple of real-life (well, "real-life video game") events that spring to mind:Truth is stranger than fiction. Eerily. Quote: (I'm thinking a pony in a Japanese schoolgirl outfit definitely doesn't want to run into a Tentacle Horse, although I'm sure Midnight Sparkle is adorable.)I'm sure there's a website somewhere. Quote: Apparently the previous version of the game included a "secret cow level", and this one is most likely an answer to online critics of early screenshots of the game who complained that it was far to "bright and colorful". Game developers are a spiteful bunch. And may have too much time on their hands. Quote: And as for players in an MMO taking on a boss that the developers had intended to be invincible, and thereby risking crashing the game, apparently players of Sony's Everquest MMO did just that. I applaud their determination to make the day a little bit crappier for the corporation that ate their lives. Quote: I quite enjoyed the assembled annoyances that the team threw at Davos Jaggernoth, especially the series of phone calls he received. The team and their associates are quite good at being distracting when the times call for it, certainly. Fun fact: back around 2003 I wrote a PVB series featuring the Jaggernath boys coming to Paradopolis and getting involved in the criminal underworld. I got as far as issue three or four then never went back to it. I never posted it because it was unfinished. Also several of the themes I'd intended for that series got recycled into Boss Deadeyes, the Caphans, and Liu Xi and the Doomherald, and Tom Black. Continuity moved on and the moment for this series was lost. Quote: Vizh's rainbow vomit raises the very good question of what exactly constitutes a magical pony's diet. Sure, the multicolored nature of it can probably be replicated in most frat houses on any given weekend, but the glitter was a distinctive touch.Maybe he'd been licking other ponies? Quote: I'm confused though... if unicorns have to be virgins themselves, then where do new unicorns come from? Or does this explain why they aren't around any longer?I actually had that bit of dialogue discussion in there but cut it because it delayed the pacing just too much. Quote: Honestly, the fact that Rabito was allowed to use that attack should have been enough alone for Vinnie to rule against the game world. Having seen some of the fan modifications for Oblivion I'd say this was pretty mild. Quote: I'm sure Kerry would be willing to help Vinnie learn to throw fireballs. I wouldn't recommend taking her up on that though. That's probably good advice. But Vinnie's steering clear of Kerry. Danny looks at him funny. Quote: We need to have this holiday more often.I've always liked Hallowe'en - but once a year is enough. Alex and I celebrated Hallowe'en this year by watching Lesbian Vampire Hunters. It's a fairly good comedy that wouldn't be out of place in the PVB. Watch it if you get a chance. Quote: Great fun! Thanks for writing and sharing it!Nice to flex the PVB writing muscles occasionally.
