Write the core scene you're most burning to do then work out from there.

I think Vizh might have covered this. Since the PM's cult is fragmented and currently depowered there's plenty of options for people to swoop in and remake it anyhow.

And don't worry about how Saving the Future ends. You might want to shy away from mentioning Danny or Kerry or Liu Xi or the Void Scholar, but otherwise I don't imagine you'd have much to worry about.
